With this holiday season leaning towards smaller, more intimate gatherings for many, I think it’s the perfect time to make our holiday dinners extra special. Cooking for less people means there’s a little extra time to focus on the special details of the meal. I absolutely love creating a beautiful table to set the tone for the meal. Nothing too extravagant or complicated, but a tablescape that’s simple, festive, and feels a little out of the ordinary.

I’ve rounded up all the items for this year’s Thanksgiving tablescape to give you some inspiration and ideas to create a special table of your own. And since the most important part is of course the food that goes onto the table, stay tuned later this week for my full Thanksgiving menu!

the details

Stoneware Salad Plates & Dinner Plates
I love having a set of neutral plates on hand that can work for all tablescape themes. These ivory stone plates are perfect and can fit in on any holiday table.

Linen Napkins
These deep purple linen napkins are really high-quality and will last forever. They add such a pretty, rich pop of color to the table.

Vintage Silverware
A mix-and-match set of silverware with vintage, rustic details. I LOVE this set.

Amber Vase
I have two different sizes of these gorgeous amber vases that I’ve been using as fall decor around my space. They can be transferred to the table for an easy autumn centerpiece.

Dried Autumn Flowers
Add a bunch of dried phalaris stems to the vase or pick up a seasonal bunch of fresh autumn flowers.

Gold Candlesticks & Taper Candles
Been loving these vintage-style candlesticks…so cozy and elegant.

Olive Wood Coasters
With my marble table top, I like to add lots of wood elements to keep things feeling natural and rustic.

Eclectic Gold Votive Holders
For a little pop of sparkle and festive holiday feel. These can be used as decor around your home during the holiday season and then end up back on your table for Christmas as well.

Wood & Marble Cheese Board
My favorite board from Anthropologie…fill it with cheese & meats to get your meal started!

Wooden Pepper Mill
For adding a final seasoning of freshly cracked black pepper onto each dish.

Kitchen Twine
Making little herb bundles and tying them up with kitchen twine is the easiest special touch and makes use of any extra herbs you have around the kitchen.
